Everyone has some fears about our economy.

Being a businessowner, it's quite easy to worry about this. So, one must be prepared. Personally, I have no fears. People say, but pictures isn't something people "need". While they may be somewhat true, it IS something they cannot live without.

What this recession, if you will, will do is seperate the men from the boys in the self-employed world.

I work with and associate with a lot of business owners. All types of businesses. What I have yet to understand or grasp is how someone can offer a product or service and claim to hate sales. How do they expect to make it? Sure, they may be doing okay, but not great. Sales is relationships and communicating. It's not high-pressured lying and manipulating as some may assume.

To not enjoy being around people, networking or communicating is asking for your business to come to an end. I go to events and talk with people. It's entertaining to see how many people are almost ashamed to admit what they do for a living. Especially if you do this trade for yourself, BE PROUD! Announce it EVERYWHERE you go. Every place you go to there is SOMEONE that NEEDS what you offer. Yes, needs! At one point or another EVERYONE will need what you offer. This is that attitude you need to adapt about yourself and your business. To think otherwise is pure foolishness. Raise the bar!
